I wish Dave was here today. I would tell thank you for being such a good friend and for how he inspired me in so many ways. His courage and determination in facing his illness will remain with me for ever. His enthusiasm for cycling motivated me to buy an electric bike - one of the best decisions I have taken. Each time I use it I shall think of Dave and quietly say thank you. Dave was also great to be with and memories of the times we spent together watching Tranmere Rovers, looking at photographs of his travels while enjoying a pint in a local pub and generally just chatting will never leave me.
