Father's Day in Wales

Created by Bryan 4 years ago

In the early days of walking with David, Margaret and Simon we seemed to be fated with bad weather (see the photo in the snow). One Father's Day we sheltered under a large rock while David cooked bacon on his camping stove and Simon gave him his present - a pair of Father's Day socks. On another occasion we sat by a lake and watched the almost horizontal sleet. Weather aside David planned so many walks for us and nearly always included a stop at a good cafe for tea or coffee and cake or scones.

We've been so lucky to share special times with David - Simon and Christina's wedding, Simon's christening (photo of David with Margaret and Simon), holidays in Portmerion (photo of David and Val geared up for the zip-wire) and HPB trips.

David was a very special person with many interests but also a very loving and caring side which we had the privilege to experience.
